The purpose of this code of conduct is to make clear to members, on the basis of a number of concrete points, how the PRTCN expects them to act in accordance with the objectives of the association and those of the breed.
Members adhere to the Articles of Association and the Internal Regulations of the PRTCN, the KR (Kynological Regulations) and the Basic Regulations for Welfare and Health of the Board of Directors.
Members act at all times in the best interests of the breed, as well as that of the individual animal.
Members keep their dogs in such a way that animal welfare is guaranteed as best as possible.
Neglect, exploitation or cruelty will lead to cancellation of membership of the PRTCN, in accordance with art. 15.1.c of the Articles of Association.
Dogs that can be assumed to suffer from a hereditary defect may not be bred and combinations that have previously produced a hereditary defect are not recommended to be repeated.
Every breeder of the PRTCN must adhere to the VFR (Association Breeding Regulations) and check by the POC (Parson Support Committee) for compliance with the VFR.
In the case of mating between dogs of members and non-members living in the Netherlands, members must be able to demonstrate that the non-member's dog meets the requirements of the VFR of the PRTCN.
CONCERNING PUP INFO
A breeder must be a member of the PRTCN for one (1) year before being able to use puppy info.
With regard to the above, pup info is provided for litters that can be demonstrated to meet all requirements of the VFR.
Pup info is free.
In the GMM of December 8, 2002 it was decided to convert the puppy info payment into a litter payment that consists of a fixed part and a variable part. See: Litter Payment
Within four weeks after the breeding date, a breeding declaration must be made by post or digitally using the breeding form.
The following documents must be sent together with this form:
- Copy pedigree of male and female
- Copies of health results and qualifications as stated in the VFR
- Copies of other health exams, titles and work notes, if any
Simultaneously with the breeding report, the fixed part of the nest payment is paid
As soon as it is received, the nest will be placed on the expected nest list.
Within 7 days after the birth of the puppies, the litter registration will be communicated in writing or digitally:
- Number of puppies born – males/females
- Whether puppy info is required and for how many puppies
- Care for the payment of the variable part of the nest payment.
If puppy info is desired, the notification of the litter will be on the website up to 15 weeks after birth and will then be removed, unless the breeder has indicated otherwise in the meantime.
The breeder receives a certificate from the association confirming that the nest meets the requirements of the association.
Not meeting the conditions of the VFR does not release the owner of the bitch from the obligation to pay the nest payment.
Breeders are advised to draw up a purchase agreement based on the example of the purchase agreement published on the PRTCN website.
SANCTIONS
Failure to comply with one or more points from this code of conduct will, depending on the violation, lead to measures to be taken by the board in accordance with Articles 15, 16 and 17 of the articles of association. These can vary from:
- A written warning
- Pup info exclusion related to violating the VFR
- Suspension
- Royment
